Both cop and climber: the revelation of an unexpected hero
Imagine running after the criminals... in the mountains. It's this crazy challenge Alex Hugo takes up every night. And behind this fearless character is the 59-year-old Samuel Le Bihan, determined to push his limits. How does he, when he suffers from osteoarthritis and he can't run anymore? You'll learn more about a course that makes you want to get your sneakers... or take your bike out.
A challenge at altitude
The observation is obvious: acting as a high-mountain policeman is nothing simple when you can no longer run. The osteoarthritis has slowed down some gestures, but not the will to surpass itself. Over the course of the shoots, Samuel Le Bihan opted for cycling, yoga and even cross-fit to keep the distance, until he climbed mythical passes and faced the chilling cold during the scenes shot at altitude.
"Apart from climbing, I've always done a lot of sports. Today, with age, I started yoga. I also like everything that's cross-fit. But I have osteoarthritis, so I can't run anymore. Fortunately, I can bike at will!"
Don't give up.
We're not pretending about this lonely cop. Despite certain medical limitations, the actor does not spare his efforts: he runs the exercises to maintain his tone and keep enough endurance during the action scenes, even at more than 2,000 meters. In between, his creed does not change: perseverance and prudence.
A wind of romance...
Beyond the action, there is the sentimental part: Samuel Le Bihan hopes to see his character flourish on the heart side. In the episode called "Cold Case", the complicity with Anne Charrier highlights an Alex Hugo more tender than usual. A contrast that makes intrigues even more tasty, while keeping investigations muscular in wild settings.
"The mountain is not my world: I am dizzy, I love neither the cold nor the wind, but it was extraordinary!"
When nature takes over its rights
The series turns outside, under a often capricious sky. Snow, freezing wind, breathtaking altitudes... No one is spared, neither the actors nor the technical team. And this is precisely what brings a unique charm: from the valley to the peaks, each scene reveals the strength and fragility of these landscapes. And the camera keeps spinning. The osteoarthritis could have stopped Samuel Le Bihan, but he has already explored judo, rugby or boxing. Today, he pedals tirelessly and gives life to an ever more human, deeper Alex Hugo. It's up to you to see how far the top officer will go.
